Savannah Guthrie's Latest Trip for 'Today' Sparks Big Question From Fans

Savannah Guthrie is jetting off to Paris!

The Today Show host, 51, is making her way to the City of Love to celebrate being one year out from the Summer Olympics—but some fans are wondering why her cohost, Hoda Kotb, won't be in attendance.

To prepare for Guthrie's big trip coming up in a few days, the Today Show Instagram shared a clip of the host gathering everything she needs for her getaway.

"Savannah's Paris checklist," read the text over the screen. The video quickly cut from her USA Olympic jacket to Guthrie's cohost putting on her beret for her.

The Today Show even had a party to celebrate the trip with a special guest appearance from pastry chef, Jacques Torres, as they indulged in some delicious chocolate.

"Hi everybody! Get your passports. I'm taking the Today Show to Paris. Tune in Wednesday and Thursday for some surprises," Guthrie teased in the video.

"We’re celebrating one year out from the Olympics with Savannah in Paris! Tune in this Wednesday and Thursday for some fun surprises you won’t want to miss," read the caption.

With all of the hype surrounding Guthrie heading off to Paris, it sparked some questions from fans regarding Kotb, specifically why she won't be taking part in the trip.

"What? they can't send Hoda, too? it's two days!" one fan wrote in the comments.

"how come Hoda isn't going? you take all the trips," another fan added.

While Guthrie may be sent on a lot of trips through the early morning talk show, Kotb has also had her fair share of adventures, including this past February when the 58-year-old host jetted off to Canada with her other co-host Jenna Bush Hager.

Fans got a glimpse inside the duo's winter getaway that consisted of walking around and falling down in snow shoes, along with a little break from when they went sledding before wandering around the city.

So, while Kotb won't be making her way to Paris for reasons unknown this time around, she'll be holding down the fort at the Today Show studio to make sure everything runs smoothly in Guthrie's absence.
