By now, you’re probably feeling the struggle of not being able to see your stylist for a hair cut or color touch-up. But, desperate times call for desperate measures, and some are taking their beauty needs into their own hands—including NBC’s Savannah Guthrie.

The Today host recently shared an Instagram post of her dyeing her own hair at home. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, salons have remained closed in most states, so she broke out her at-home supplies and got to work.

The mom of two shared four photos of the hair-dyeing process, including a screenshot of a FaceTime with colorist Rita Hazan, who helped her out virtually. “Let’s do this. Coloring hair at home is easy with Charley on my arm and @ritahazan giving expert advice on FaceTime!!!” she wrote in the caption.

First, Guthrie put a towel around her neck to protect her clothes. Then, she put a section of her hair in clips and dyed each section as Hazan gave her instructions.

Fans could definitely relate. “I just colored my hair as well, husband did the back for me😁😂😉,” one person wrote. “You look so cute,” added another.

“This was me last night. Without Rita Hazan❤️🤣,” joked another commenter.

Guthrie isn’t the only Today star trying to keep their hair in check during quarantine. Jenna Bush Hager commissioned her husband Henry and pro stylist Chris Appleton to help her cover up her roots with a powder.

Appleton, who is Jennifer Lopez’s colorist, also gave Carson Daly a virtual hand with his haircut. Unfortunately, though, Appleton lost WiFi during the call, and Daly was left to fend for his own. The result? This:

Just kidding, Daly actually gave himself a pretty nice haircut with the help of his 11-year-old son. And he’s not actually bald! Daly shared a follow-up Instagram photo showing the prank balding look versus what he really looks like.

Not bad! So, if you’re thinking about getting your hair in order at home, these Today hosts prove you *can* give yourself a salon-inspired ‘do. Not sure where to start? Follow our step-by-step guide on how to dye your hair at home from a pro colorist.
