Nick Cannon (L) and Savannah Chrisley (R) on 'The Masked Singer'

WARNING: This article contains spoilers for The Masked Singer, Season 11 Episode 2, "The Wizard of Oz Night."

They say every dog has its day. But it was just one day that "Afghan Hound," AKA Savannah Chrisley lasted on The Masked Singer. Known for her famous family, she was happy to shed the last name and don the costume of a shedding canine. Unfortunately, in celebration of the 85th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz, she certainly wished she could have asked the Wizard for a better voice. But despite not being completely in her element, it was clear the reality start had a great time on the show, calling it a good experience after her unmasking.

The day after her reveal, Savannah spoke to Parade.com about why she chose to do The Masked Singer

How did you get involved with The Masked Singer?
So they reached out to my publicist, and, obviously, she relayed the information. And at first, I was super hesitant. And then I was like, "You know what? Why am I hesitant? Just say yes. Go ahead and tell them yes, so I can't back out". And that's what happened. A big reason why I wanted to do it, though, was because I knew my parents would be able to watch it. So we would be able to connect with each other, and they could watch it and laugh. And also, I'm kind of working on not taking life so serious, because I have a tendency to do that. And I just wanted to have fun. And that's exactly what I did.

You would be the first to admit you're not a singer. Did that give you any reservations about participating in a singing competition? Like, "Are you sure you asked the right Chrisley?"
Hey, they definitely got the wrong one. [Laughs.] But I was like, "You know what? This is great." I felt like it was God kind of testing me and was like, "Hey, you're taking life too serious. Let's go have some fun." And I was hesitant because, obviously, I cannot sing. But when I got up there, the vocal coach was like, "Just go out and have fun." And that's exactly what I did. And I was like, "If I make people laugh, then okay. I don't need to really have a great voice."

Were you given the choice of costume? If not, what was your reaction to being the Afghan Hound?
It was not my choice. It was just something that I was given. But also, I thought it was hilarious. This is one glamorous dog, and clearly, I love glamour. So it was very fitting.

You talk about making people laugh. And there was one point during your first number where you actually stopped and laughed. What was happening there?
I think I just could not contain it.  tried my hardest and I laugh in the most uncomfortable situations. It's not okay, I guess I just couldn't contain it. And I was like, "I'm having fun. Everyone knows I suck. So let's just laugh at ourselves. Let's be the joke and laugh at the joke."

Something you didn't suck at, though, was evading the judges' guesses. I saw you had a notable reaction in particular to Jenny guessing you were Brooke Hogan.
It's so funny, because they were so close. Because obviously Hogan Knows Best. They were so, so close. And so I was like, "Come on, we're almost there." But it's so funny because Brooke Hogan actually works here in Nashville. She works on a lot of my clients' short-term rental properties, so she's a designer. So we actually work together. So it was so funny that all of our worlds started colliding.

You mentioned wanting to do The Masked Singer so your parents could watch you. Have they done that yet?
Oh yes. My mom watched it and called me and was dying laughing. And she has the greatest laugh on Earth. This is why I did it. I did it so that I can hear her laugh and so that she could have a little joy in her life. So it was so worth it. But they did say, "Hey, maybe let's cut out the singing." [Laughs.]

[Laughs.] So you obviously got your start on reality TV. And you've appeared now on both The Masked Singer and Special Forces: World's Toughest Test. Any reality show you're eyeballing being on next?
Gosh, honestly, this is my "yes" time. I will say yes to any opportunity that comes my way. I mean, Survivor, Dancing with the Stars, getting in a cage during Shark Week. I will do just about anything.

Next, here's everything to know about the current season of Survivor.
