Reality star Savannah Chrisley (the 23-year-old daughter of Todd Chrisley of Chrisley Knows Best) and former hockey player Nic Kerdiles, 26, are calling it quits after three years together and nearly two years engaged.

Savannah, who met Nic through Instagram, ironically shared the break-up news with fans via the social media platform on September 15, stating, "You've all been wondering...so here it is."

The post continues with Savannah writing, "We have nothing but love, respect, and admiration for one another but it's time for us to move forward individually," and finally closing with, "Now please be kind with this news that I am sharing."

Fans were quick to offer messages of support about the news. One user commented: "I admire you for not settling. God has big plans for you both and it shows how strong you both are by knowing that it’s was time to move on instead of jumping into a marriage and getting divorced later. May god bless you both."

Likewise, Nic posted the news to his followers as well. "No one other than our families know everything we've gone through in the last 3 years, and for that, I ask to respect that privacy."

On Wednesday, September 16, Savannah posted on Instagram for the first time since news of the split. She shared a video clip of pastor Steven Furtick, along with a powerful—yet cryptic—caption: "IF YOU FEEL YOU’RE THE ONLY ONE @stevenfurtick “learning how to carry the good and the bad is the essence of faith..”

While Savannah didn't mention any specifics in her caption, it seems the video's message about handling the "good and bad" in life rang especially true in light of recent events.

Savannah's dad, Todd, has been silent so far—surprising, based on his support of her surprise engagement in 2019, and most recently, based on Season 8, Episode 10, when Chrisley Knows Best left fans were left hanging regarding the relationship. While Savannah and Nic were officially broken up but "hanging out," Todd invited Nic to the Chrisley family festivities behind Savannah's back, in hopes the two would reconcile. After the news of the couple's split, it looks like Todd's wish did not come true.

But both Savannah and Nic say they left their futures in God's hands. Savannah stated in her original post, "I have to trust that God has a far greater purpose for my life...I believe that He will take this hardship and make something beautiful out of it." Nic echoed the sentiment, writing, "I love you kid to the moon and back and God has a plan for us!"
