“Sustainability and innovation have always been integral to Sateri’s journey. As a foremost cellulose fiber manufacturer, Sateri strictly controls raw materials through its plantation advantages,” said WenBin Huang, senior sustainability manager at Sateri. “The group’s six cellulose fiber factories adhere to clean energy production standards, meeting EU-BAT (European Union Best Available Technology) certification and minimizing environmental impact. Sateri is also actively engaged in ecosystem protection initiatives, particularly promoting projects for the health of Poyang Lake freshwater and wetland preservation, thereby enhancing local ecosystem health and biodiversity.”

Driven by market demand, Sateri prioritizes innovative research and development of sustainable fibers, empowering its brand with responsible, innovative products. At the exhibition, Sateri’s sustainable product portfolio garnered “significant attention.”

Lyocell products made their debut, offering versatile characteristics ideal for various applications. Recognizing lyocell as a strategic product, Sateri continues to invest in its research and development, catering to the evolving needs of the industrial chain. “The company is flourishing in denim, woven clothing, home textiles, knitting and other sectors,” Huang added.

Sateri also introduced cross-linked lyocell fiber, known as the CL series, which effectively reduces fabric fibrillation. Sateri’s CL series exhibits “excellent dyeing properties” while also demonstrating good chemical resistance. Moreover, it maintains its cross-linking effect throughout the subsequent dyeing and finishing processes without containing formaldehyde. The introduction of cross-linked lyocell not only enhances the performance and quality of lyocell fiber but also broadens its application in textiles. This innovative fiber can be extensively utilized in knitting and home textile areas, offering a comfortable, breathable and smooth hand feel, Huang noted.

Taking its offerings to the next level, Sateri showcased its EcoCosy® series which offers a 24-hour comfortable living experience, featuring green fibers that are natural, safe and functional. These 100 percent bio-based fibers biodegrade in 28 days, providing “ultimate comfort” and texture quality through blends with cotton, linen, wool and silk. EcoCosy® also collaborates closely with top brands across various categories including homewear, athleisure and kidswear to develop innovative functional fabrics tailored to meet the demands of today’s consumers.

Sateri also presented its recycled fiber brand FINEX®, which received “considerable attention” at the exhibition. Born from a commitment to green sustainability, FINEX® promotes textile waste recycling to mitigate environmental pollution and resource wastage.

Utilizing cellulose recycling technology, Sateri produces FINEX® fiber regeneration fiber from post-consumer textile waste, fostering a circular industry path from resources to consumption and renewable resources. FINEX® holds the Recycling Statement Standard (RCS) certification and produces products with up to 50 percent recycled content.

“Sateri is dedicated to emerging as a foremost provider of sustainable solutions across the entire cellulose fiber industry chain,” Huang said. “We actively participate in collaborative research and development initiatives spanning fibers, yarns and fabrics, emphasizing the creation of fiber products that excel in performance while meeting sustainability criteria on multiple fronts. From quality-focused approaches to closed-loop and circular models, we’ve established a comprehensive product portfolio to propel the sustainable advancement of the entire industrial chain.”
