Sarasota's Senior Friendship Centers hosts Senior Prom 2024

The Senior Friendship Centers in Sarasota held the 2024 Senior Prom last week − senior citizen prom, that is. The theme was "Dancing Through the Decades." Guests voted for prom king and queen, selecting Ernie Watson and Vee Cannici as royalty. While the prom was a special event, dancing is a regular occurrence at the senior center, with a live band every day, Monday through Friday from 1 to 3 p.m., and dance instruction every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon.
