Sarah Snook's first major post-Succession project is here. The Australian actress is set to play all 26 characters in the stage adaptation of Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray on London's West End.

"I am elated to return to the London stage in such an astonishing piece of theatre," Snook said in a statement. "From Oscar Wilde’s remarkable original text to Kip Williams’ stunning adaptation, this story of morality, innocence, narcissism, and consequence is going to be thrilling to re-create for a new audience. I can’t wait."She will begin rehearsing this fall, and filming characters to interact with on stage.

Director Kip Williams added: "In creating a new piece of theatre like The Picture of Dorian Gray you always hope to have the opportunity to share it with a wider audience. I am so excited for theatre lovers in London to experience our show and am thrilled to have the extraordinary Sarah Snook bringing to life the many characters of Oscar Wilde’s remarkable story."

Producer Michael Cassel said, "Kip Williams’ genius production is transformative, innovative, transfixing and entertaining and I am beyond excited that the inimitable Sarah Snook will star in this incredible production."

The show had its world premiere in Sydney, with actress Eryn Jean Norvill playing all 26 roles. The Picture of Dorian Gray, starring Snook, will premiere at the Theatre Royal Haymarket on January 23, 2024, for a limited 12-week run.

In Deadline, Baz Bamigboye notes"If the show takes off in London then, from what I understand, it will be headed to Broadway for a season. However, any transfer would be dependent on Snook and her family: she recently announced the birth of her first child."
