Pay up, Stern.

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on Sep. 1, 2022.

The Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress shared a sweet black and white throwback snap from their wedding—with Prinze kissing her hand—to commemorate the occasion.

“20 💫,” she captioned the post as love for the couple flooded into the comments. But there was a slightly sour note that later accompanied the occasion.

According to Fox News, Gellar took to her Instagram Story to share a screenshot of a conversation between her then-soon-to-be husband and radio personality Howard Stern. Per the outlet, over two decades ago Stern bet Prinze that his marriage wouldn’t last ten years.

"So you will marry Sarah Michelle Gellar even though you know that it won't last," Stern reportedly said on his show in 2001.

"Absolutely it will last," Prinze disagreed.

"I wanna make a written bet with you. In about 10 years you're gonna hunt me down and go, 'Howard, I owe you money,’" Stern said. Well, he’s probably eating those words now, though he hasn't come crawling back to say the same.

“What do you think?!?!” Gellar reportedly wrote across the screenshot of the exchange, adding, “I think you owe us.”

Prinze reposted the story, adding, "She will never forget 😂😂"

And who would?

Stern has yet to respond, but hopefully, he's counting his loss and preparing to pay up!
