It’s the perfect summer footwear.
Sarah Jessica Parker wore a floral-embellished dress, huge hat, and lace-adorned stockings to the 2024 Met Gala. Just a little over a week later, she’s back on her practical style game, proving you can do both, aka, mix bold and colorful with comfort.
Seen on the set of And Just Like That…, Parker wore a sheer bohemian blouse, printed tiered midi skirt, and oversized knit cardigan. Her sunburst hoops reminded me of the BaubleBar Jaskamal earrings, while Parker’s polarizing clogs made me do a double take.

Some may call Parker’s footwear controversial, since the chunky slip-ons boast a broad toe, heavy-looking heel, and metal hardware. Though, opposing views aren’t stopping A-listers from sporting this summer shoe; Jennifer Garner, Zoë Kravitz, Kaia Gerber, Gisele Bündchen, and Bella Hadid are just a few big names relying on the trusty style. However, I’d call Parker one of the clog forefathers, being that she’s worn the wood-soled shoe since the ‘90s.
Having secured a similar Franco Sarto version, I can confidently say the hype is real. Parker-inspired options are often comfortable, too, offering a modest heel height that boosts your frame without making it difficult to walk. Best of all, they’re usually made of leather and high-quality wood, adding a durable and lasting option to your footwear collection.
You may also love clogs if having your toes out makes you squirm, especially if you live in a commuter-heavy city. The open back allows for a cooling breeze during warm summer days, nixing hot, sweaty feet.
Clogs are among the simplest shoes to style. Think of them as ballet flats—you’re not going to wear them with athletic leggings, but nearly everything else is on the table: tiered dresses, maxi skirts, cut-off shorts, wide-leg denim, lightweight knits, and the list goes on.
