If you've been binging And Just Like That, and can't help but wonder about Sarah Jessica Parker's real life—same.

While her alter ego/AJLT character Carrie Bradshaw is the epitome of a New York single fashionista, SJP's real life is a bit more settled down.

The actress married another prominent 90s actor, Matthew Broderick (who played the king of truancy Ferris Bueller) in 1997. Since then, the couple has lived pretty privately and happily for over 25 years. Their secret to marriage longevity? SJP told PEOPLE in 2018 it takes a lot of changing, and learning as you go.

"Your needs are shifting. You and your partner are going to change. It seems so silly, but I think you’re very lucky if you like the person. I still just really like him," she told the publication.

"I’m sure I annoy him and he annoys me, but I literally learn about him every day. I’m like, ‘You’re doing what? You’re reading what?’"

And with the changes that come every day in marriage, SJP and Matthew also have three children. Here's everything to know about their fam:

She and Matthew dated for five years before getting married.

This relationship is honestly the cutest. SJP, 58, and Matthew, 61, reportedly started dating five years before they got married on May 19, 1997, per PEOPLE.

Fun fact: SJP was still a pretty fresh newlywed when Sex and the City first premiered on June 6, 1998. She's really never related to Carrie's single girl eras!

SJP and Matthew met through her brothers, Pippin and Toby. Apparently, Matthew directed a play in the siblings' theater company, Naked Angels Theater Company.

After the play, the brothers introduced Matthew to SJP, he asked her out over voicemail, per The New York Times. The rest is history.

Oh, and apparently in 1996, they starred together in a Broadway production of How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying. She was the Rosemary to Matthew's J. Pierrepont Finch. Totally adorable.

Her oldest son, James Wilkie Broderick, is 20.

James Wilkie Broderick is Sarah Jessica Parker's oldest child and son, and is currently 20 years old. He was born on October 28, 2002, when SJP was 37 years old. In 2018, she revealed to PEOPLE that she was "so happy" with the young man James was becoming.

It seems James is currently enrolled at Brown University, according to his LinkedIn page. He also describes himself as a "musician," on Instagram. The eldest Parker-Broderick has also shared some sweet moments with his parents on his grid.

On his latest birthday, SJP posted a super heartfelt message on her Instagram for him.

"The plates shifted," she wrote in the caption. "All the feelings I had ever known, deeper, magnified, and in brilliant new colors." Awww.

It also seems that the prominent actors tried to raise their son as privately as possible. He rarely made public appearances with them, aside from the premieres for the final Harry Potter films in 2010 and 2011, per PEOPLE.

SJP also said that she raised her son in hand-me-down clothes from cousins and her brothers, she said in an interview with Parade, per PEOPLE.

"That's the God's honest truth. Plus, my mother saved all my brothers' clothes. I am not kidding," she said.

"I don't think I've ever bought him any clothes. Maybe a new winter coat. I do buy him shoes, because everybody's feet are different." Mad respect!

Finally, although James seems very supportive of his mom's career, he's never seen Sex and the City. He told Entertainment Tonight that while he tried watching And Just Like That, he didn't really understand it without the context of the original series.

"I tried to watch the new one and I liked it but then I felt weird, 'cause I haven’t watched the original," he told ET. "I guess it's kind of obvious why maybe I hadn’t watched the original show as a kid."

Probably a good call, James!

Tabitha Hodge and Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick are 14.

SJP is a twin mom! Tabitha Hodge and Loretta Elwell were born on June 22, 2009, via surrogate, per PEOPLE. Although the girls are twins, their SJP said they attend different schools. She's also said they're huge fans of the Hocus Pocus movies.

"They're really devoted to each other, but they'll also say, 'I need time away from her.' Tabitha can play by herself for hours. Loretta always needs to be checking in. They go to different schools. That's Tabitha's idea," SJP told PEOPLE in 2018.

And although the girls have attended public events with their mom, such as the Hocus Pocus 2 premiere last September, she seems to have a boundary against posting them on her social media quite yet (aside from a few conspicuous posts).

They haven't received birthday shoutouts from their mom like James, but it's worth noting that James' first birthday shoutout occurred for his 18th birthday, so that's probably intentional.

I love this New York fam!
