The worlds of art, fashion, and dance came together last night to celebrate the launch of Rizzoli’s fantastic new release, New York City Ballet: Choreography & Couture, written by Marc Happel, with photography by Pari Dukovic.

Actor Sarah Jessica Parker—who wrote the foreword for the book—served as the host of the fete, held at New York City’s iconic Bergdorf Goodman, and welcomed notable guests including Charles Miers, Kathy Brown, Narciso Rodriguez, Jovani Furlan, Alec Knight, Mimi Staker, and Wendy Goodman.

For the occasion, Parker showed out in a chic black midi dress with a pleated skirt by Reformation (shop a similar style here), a dainty built-in ribbon belt, and a square neckline. Shimmery black and silver crystal brooches by SJP Collection and Lele Sadoughi lined the bust and matched the actor’s black clutch, also adorned with silver jewels in an abstract design.

À la Carrie Bradshaw, the And Just Like That… star added a pop of color to the monochrome fit with a pair of bright pink satin pumps. The peep-toe platforms by her own SJP Collection featured a pretty strap at the heel.

Parker wrapped up the look with subtle silver eye shadow and a glossy nude lip; she wore her hair in her signature off-duty waves.

And Just Like That…, the revival of cult-classic series Sex and the City, has been renewed for a third season, though due to this year’s strikes in Hollywood, it may take a while for the season to come to fruition, and it will likely not be released until late 2024, at the earliest.
