Sarah Jessica Parker Is Not Here for More Kim Catrall Drama

What was your reaction to Kim Cattrall telling Piers Morgan that you were never friends just colleagues? Just heartbroken. [MUSIC] I don't know, I found it very upsetting cuz that's. You know, that's not the way I recall our experience. So- Right. It's sad, but I'm kind of, I don't know. I always think that what ties us together is this singular > experienced [music] > That many years spent doing something so special that people you know, had a connection with it > yes > it's such a priviledge [music] [MUSIC] I think once everybody has Thoroughly experience the grieving process, then Michael Patrick can go back and sort of ponder what he might want to do, and how he might want to proceed. Right. [LAUGH] That's the most clear answer I've given yet. [MUSIC] [BLANK_AUDIO]

Sarah Jessica Parker isn't ever going to stop getting asked about more Sex and the City — until there's a clear answer about another movie, that is. Extra reports that, naturally, SATC was a topic of conversation when they sat down with SJP during her promotional tour for her new movie, Here and Now. Parker took the opportunity to finally spill the tea over the rumors of sending Kim Cattrall gifts, all the apologies, and whether or not there would be another movie if Cattrall wasn't involved.

"If one more person calls this a catfight...I’m not in a fight. I never fought with Kim. I don’t have to send any gifts to Kim, because I’ve never done anything," Parker said. "She has felt perfectly comfortable to say lots of things — that’s the beauty of living in a democracy — but I have no apologies, meaning, this isn’t a catfight. This is someone who chose to talk about something and myself, I remain grateful for her work and the role she played on and off camera for all the years we spent together."

Parker added that while rumors did spread about the film franchise continuing with Cattrall and her character Samantha, they were false. She explained that the cast had done as much as it could to try and get something started.

"I have not had any, no," she said of pitching a Samantha Jones-free film. "We went as far as we could last time and the studio said, 'No, we can’t meet those demands.' We were all signed up except for her. What are you going to do, right?"

So, any fans hoping against all hope that there could be more for Carrie and Co. could find some closure in Parker's words. There may be no adventures for everyone's favorite foursome, but know that there's no bad blood, either.
