One of the hardest things about being a parent is never knowing when your “lasts” are going to be. One day will be the last time you give your baby a bath, or the last time your toddler asks to be picked up, or the last time your child adorably mispronounces a word. (BRB, sobbing while I type this.) But one thing that will never change as your kids get older? How much they’ll love spending quality time with you! Sarah Jessica Parker and husband Matthew Broderick took a rare new selfie with their three kids, and the five of them look so cozy together.

The Sex and the City star was tucked under the covers in a bed next to her son James, 21, in a new photo he posted to Instagram on Sunday. Her twin daughters Marion and Tabitha, 14, are on their mom’s other side in the bed, and Broderick rounds out the end, propping with his head on his hand. I love that the kids still jump in their parents’ bed to hang out. It’s something my 6-, 4-, and 1-year-old do now, and it makes my mama heart happy to know that these sweet moments won’t end any time soon.

Normally, we see the kids out in public at red-carpet events to support their famous parents, but they don’t often post about quiet, casual moments. This particular snuggle session happened during a weekend trip to California, where they also saw a Lakers game. “Cheers, California,” James captioned the post.

Many people commented on the cute picture.

“That family picture, though!” one person wrote. Another shared, “As a mama , that’s one happy mama having all her kids together !! Happy Holiday to all.”

“Love the family photo😍,” someone else said.

In July, Parker appeared on the Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi podcast, where she shared another tidbit about their home life. “We cook every night,” she revealed. “It’s a source of huge amount of pride for everybody.”

“But it’s also mystifying because we just don’t order in as a family,” the And Just Like That star continued. “And on the rare occasion we have, [we] always hear other families, they do it and then one kid orders from this place and one kid, it’s so confusing.” She added, “We really do cook five to six nights a week for sure. We have always have a Sunday dinner — we invite people.”

It sounds so lovely!

These celebrity parents are sharing the struggle — and sweetness — of raising teenagers.
