Sarah Jessica Parker Didn’t Actually Like Drinking Cosmopolitans During ‘Sex And The City’

If you're a fan of Sex and the City, you've probably ordered a Cosmopolitan at a bar in order to feel more like Carrie Bradshaw and her crew. But it turns out that when Sarah Jessica Parker was playing that iconic role, she wasn't really a fan of the cocktail.

SJP made this revelation during her own Grub Street Diary, saying that she often sips on Invivo X, SJP Sauvignon blanc, of course, because it's her own wine, though she also loves a cocktail. But contrary to popular belief, she wasn't really sipping Cosmos while filming SATC—instead, she found a love for them later in life.

"To be honest, I really do love a Cosmopolitan. I don’t know how to make them well, but I genuinely love them. Strangely enough, it didn’t happen until long after I stopped shooting the show and the movies," she explained: "I would be served them at restaurants, or people sent them over, and I was always very grateful. But I didn’t really drink the cocktail until after we finished the show. I went to some place and had an exquisite one and then it started."

Apparently, she's been sipping on Cosmos for real since at least 2015 when she posted a photo of one on Instagram (remember 2015 Instagram??? A simpler time).

In addition to sharing her drink preferences, SJP also shared her bagel order ("toasted with Kerrygold butter wall to wall, and I added Grey Poupon mustard and four slices of Boar’s Head salami"), the fact that she and husband Matthew Broderick save everything from parmesan rinds to shrimp tails for later, and that she rarely, if ever, buys coffee out.
