Last night, New York City celebrated the 25th anniversary of one of its most iconic shows, Sex and the City, by turning the Empire State Building pink.
Sarah Jessica Parker lit up the historic skyscraper to mark the anniversary, as well as the premiere today of season two of SATC revival And Just Like That…
For the occasion, the actor pulled out a bold black-and-white ensemble that would make her stylish character Carrie Bradshaw proud. The standout piece was a strapless black jumpsuit with a giant white bow—embellished with clear crystals—on the bust. She paired it simply with a white cardigan and black-and-white polka-dot peep-toe heels. Her only accessories were a black watch and diamond stud earrings. Parker wore natural makeup and had her hair styled in a messy ponytail.
SJP regularly shows off her eccentric Carrie-esque style while out in the city (where she does, in fact, live with her family). Earlier this month, she attended a private celebration for Sex and the City’s 25th anniversary wearing head-to-toe polka dots. Her outfit was composed of a breezy white dress—with billowing sleeves, black polka dots all over, crystal embellishments at the collar, and two big bows in the center—and matching white peep-toe heels with black polka dots.
That same week, she attended another celebration for the cult-classic series with costar Kristin Davis. For that event, SJP wore a shimmering golden dress with matching golden peep-toe heels and stacks of gold bracelets.
Parker has plenty to keep her busy besides the SATC anniversary. She and husband Matthew Broderick are set to star in Plaza Suite at the Savoy Theatre in London’s West End next January. The couple have already appeared in the play on Broadway.
