Sarah Hyland is NOT happy about the GOP’s birth control mandate rollback
Let’s be real: It’s not like Donald Trump has ever been favored by women per se. But his most recent bill passing left countless females in a rage. Actress Sarah Hyland expressed frustration about Donald Trump’s contraception laws on Twitter — and she wasn’t the only one.
Trump’s birth control mandate rollback is not to be taken lightly. On Friday, the “fake news” commentator repealed the requirement that employers need to include birth control coverage in employees’ health insurance plans.
Previously, Obama passed a law under the Affordable Care Act requiring employers to include birth control in their health coverage plans. Trump has taken that away on the grounds of protecting “religious freedom and moral sensibilities.”
And Hyland has some thoughts.
The Modern Family actress, among other numerous powerful women, took to Twitter to express their distaste for the immediate decision that could possibly affect 120,000 women across the U.S.

Fatima Goss Graves, president and CEO of the National Women’s Law Center, made a statement about Trump’s decision in respect to the overall liberties of a woman.
“Today’s outrageous rules by the Trump Administration show callous disregard for women’s rights, health, and autonomy. By taking away women’s access to no-cost birth control coverage, the rules give employers a license to discriminate against women. This will leave countless women without the critical birth control coverage they need to protect their health and economic security. We will take immediate legal steps to block these unfair and discriminatory rules.”
