'Tis the season of full-fledged—albeit temporary—makeovers. But should you find yourself in the camp that prefers holiday beauty over Halloween costumes, look to Saoirse Ronan, who debuted a party-ready look last night that's striking enough to tempt onlookers to fast-forward a few weeks. First came the updo, a nape-of-the-neck knot marked by plaits, one edging towards her forehead, another inching toward her bun, each embellished with tiny threads of metallic tinsel running through them.
And while the hair would have been radiant enough all on its own, Ronan's makeup was a featured attraction, too. Along with a fuchsia lip, the actress's lids played host to a touch of soft gold shimmer that traveled from the inner corners and up to create a border between brow and lid. The notes conspired to bring out Ronan's "undeniable light and spark," according to an Instagram caption from makeup artist Kara Yoshimoto. The lesson? The only thing better than moonlighting as someone else is highlighting your own radiant qualities.
