Sandra Bullock Is a Woman with One Hell of a Plan in the New ‘Ocean’s 8’ Trailer
We’re suckers for expert organizational skills, haute couture and women at the top of their game. Well, the latest trailer for Ocean’s 8 just dropped and it has all of that…and more.
The upcoming all-women heist film from female director Olivia Milch (Dude) centers on Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock), who recruits a group of badass ladies to help her pull off the impossible: Rob the Met Gala.
The Anna Wintour–led event is no joke, and while its security is highly sophisticated, it appears it’s no match for Debbie’s carefully chosen girl gang. Lou (Cate Blanchett) co-leads the operation, Amita (Mindy Kaling) makes the counterfeit jewelry, Tammy (Sarah Paulson) is the Vogue mole and Nine Ball (Rihanna) is the expert hacker. Also along for the ride are Rose (Helena Bonham Carter), a diamond aficionado, and Constance (Awkwafina), a street hustler. The band of mavericks combine their various skills to steal a diamond necklace so extravagant it looks straight out of the Pretty Pretty Princess board game from socialite Daphne Kruger (Anne Hathaway)...all while rocking gorgeous gowns, natch.
Now, the question remains: Will George Clooney (or better yet, Amal) make a cameo?
Ocean’s 8 hits theaters on June 8. We’re off to buy all the trench coats now, kthanksbye.
