Sanctuary Builds Scratching Pads for the Cows and Their Reactions Say It All

Just like dogs, cows love getting their itches scratched. Unfortunately, when you have a farm or sanctuary full of animals, you're not always around to be the one to do the scratching. @The Gentle Barn came up with a genius solution for their cows, and it worked!

The video was shared on Instagram on Sunday, November 26th showing an idea that they decided to offer up to the cows. Using an old tree stump as a base, broom heads were screwed into the stump at all different angles. Then the cows, Houdini, Eddie, and Chico, were invited to come and check out the new design.

Isn't this just great?! The cows didn't waste a second before going to check out the new scratching pad and to try it out for themselves.

I think it's safe to say that all three of the big guys were fans of the scratching pads! They all were drawn to it immediately, and all reacted the same way. They were able to scratch those itches on their heads, chins, and sides. What a smart and easy way to offer the rescued cows some relief!

Commenters loved the idea. @pieceduniquedesigns shared, "So kind and thoughtful. Obviously, very much appreciated." @carolvmartinez was so right when she pointed out, "It’s the little things"! Another commenter added, "Awww, they love it! Thanks for all the positivity you add to my feed". I couldn't agree more! @The Gentle Barn is spreading love and happiness across the board to all of our feeds...not to mention we get to watch some really cute animals go about their days, too!

You can tell that The Gentle Barn not only rescues these animals from awful situations, but they make them all a part of their family. I'm hoping one day I'll get to visit them in Tennessee, which isn't too far from me!
