San Antonio Zoo Hippo Is Running for President and Everyone's Here for It

Contemplating which presidential candidate to support can be quite stressful. You seek someone who aligns with your values, prioritizes the nation's welfare, and makes decisions that will improve the lives of all Americans.

Well, the San Antonio zoo announced Monday on President's Day that they may have a candidate that deserves your vote. Timothy, the hippopotamus, who is running for HOTUS (Hippo of the United States.)

At the heart of Timothy's vision for America lies his "EXTRA sturdy" platform, emphasizing the importance of ensuring every citizen enjoys at least one rejuvenating nap per day through his "Naps For All" initiative. Additionally, he advocates for mandatory snack time at schools and offices to enhance productivity and happiness. Furthermore, Timothy passionately promotes kindness and respect among individuals, alongside championing the well-being of all creatures, big and small.

Naps for all? Mandatory snack time? Timothy is a candidate I can totally get behind!

The San Antonio Zoo posted, "We are incredibly proud of Timothy and his presidential aspirations," expressed Tim Morrow, President & CEO of San Antonio Zoo. "His dedication to making America 'HIPpo' again, with a focus on naps, snacks, and spreading joy, is truly inspiring. At the end of the day and Hippo bottom line, is there really a better current candidate?"

The zoo also stated that people can buy limited-edition Timothy 2024 campaign merchandise, including "Naps For All" yard signs and exclusive t-shirts featuring Timothy's endearing grin and catchy slogans. The proceeds from these sales will contribute to vital animal conservation efforts, aligning with Timothy's dedication to protecting wildlife. Such a wonderful idea to raise money for conservation! We are Team Timothy all the way!
