Plenty has been said about Samantha Markle, the Duchess of Sussex's estranged half-sister, and that's no accident.

The 54-year-old has managed to worm her way into the Meghan Markle narrative as villain numero uno since basically day one, and it's literally paying off. The Sun reports that she's making nearly £100,000 ($129,000) as Meghan's due date approaches thanks to two television documentaries, talk show appearances and interviews, for which she reportedly charges £2,000 each.

She's also publishing that tell all book, In The Shadows Of The Duchess I and II (originally titled, The Diary of Princess Pushy's Sister), in two parts. The first edition will hit shelves this spring, timed to the arrival of Baby Sussex, of course.

Cosmopolitan reports that Samantha retweeted The Sun's story from her personal account — an eyebrow raising move, though not a sure confirmation. We can't say we'd be surprised to learn the figure was true, however.

A source told The Sun, “Samantha has every right to celebrate the birth of her niece or nephew in spring and will talk about her connection to Meghan, as they are family ... She does not have an outlandish lifestyle so the money will make a difference to her. She has never been given a penny by Meghan so she has every right to earn her own money in this way." OK then!

Of course, she's not the only one cashing in on her relationship (however one-sided it may be) to royalty. Meghan's nephew, Tyler Dooley, used his affiliation to brand a new weed strain called "Markle Sparkle." He also stars on the MTV's The Royal World.

Meghan has taken the high road for now, declining to comment on the goings-on of the Markle clan and instead turning her attention to her growing family.
