Sam Raimi Reveals He Would Like To Make a Batman Film

In a recent interview with Empire, director Sam Raimi, who is best known for directing Spider-Man and the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, revealed that he would be willing to jump ship from Marvel and direct a Batman film.

He explained, "I've always loved Batman. If I ever saw the Batsignal up in the air, I'd come running." He added, "If I heard that deep, gurgling laugh of The Shadow coming from the darkness, I would also tentatively step outside." Further in the interview, he also made a list of characters he would like to continue to make films for stating, "Spider-Man would be ahead of Doctor Strange, but I don't want to put him down the list!"

Matt Reeves recently debuted his The Batman film starring Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Colin Farrell, Paul Dano and more. It remains to be seen if he will sign on for any other films with the franchise or if Raimi will realize his dream.

In other entertainment news, Benedict Cumberbatch says that Doctor Strange will be on the same level of success as No Way Home.
