Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe share an intimate moment on the battlefield in Season 7 of 'Outlander'.

It’s only two months now until Droughtlander ends, and the season 7 premiere of Outlander takes place on June 16.

To mark the occasion, STARZ has released several new photos of Sam Heughan and Caitríona Balfe in character as Jamie and Claire Fraser. Of course, as previously reported, the the season will be divided into two, with the first eight episodes airing this summer, and the remaining eight not airing until sometime in 2024.

Season 7 will be based on two of bestselling author Diana Gabaldon’s novels, A Breath of Snow and Ashes (book 6) and An Echo in the Bone (book 7), as the sixth season was cut short due to COVID-19 and Caitríona’s pregnancy.

Earlier this year, STARZ released the new opening sequence, which revealed a few clues to readers of Gabaldon’s novels about what might take place when the romantic, time-traveling epic returns.

And finally, the arrival of the Revolutionary War also marks the arrival of a grown-up William Ransom (Charles Vandervaart), Jamie’s illegitimate son by Geneva Dunsany, and the introduction of Denzell Hunter (Joey Phillips), a medical doctor and Quaker, who uses his healing skills on the side of the Americans.
