The 2019 U.S. Spirit Awards were just released and Sam's Club shoppers have reason to celebrate: the big box store's in-house silver tequila earned an "exceptional" rating. With 91 points scored, Member's Mark Silver Tequila was among the top-rated in the blanco tequila category-and the cheapest.

You can pick up a 1.75-liter bottle of the "authentic, agave-forward tequila," as the Beverage Tasting Institute described it, for just $19.98. The next cheapest in the category costs $25 a bottle (Loma Azul Gran Reserva Blanco Tequila), with most others between $30 and $50. The highest-scoring tequila was Fuenteseca 2013 Blanco Tequila. That came in with 96 points-a "Superlative" score-and costs $90 a bottle.

As for Sam's Club's tequila, named a "best buy" in the category, the institute says it has:

Elegant aromas and flavors of fresh ripe agave, sweet cantaloupe, hibiscus, rooibos tea, bay leaf, and mulling spices with a supple, vibrant, dry-yet-fruity light body and a tingling, subtle, long finish with accents of mole, snap pea, roasted peppers, and huitlacoche finish.

If you're planning on making margaritas this weekend, you can pick up a bottle (...or two or three) at your local club today. We've got plentyyy of tequila cocktail recipes to go with it! And while you're there, you might want to make a pit stop in the cafe: Sam's Club frozen chicken nuggets, which taste JUST like Chick-fil-A's, tbh, are now available in the café in packs of 12 to 14 nuggets.
