Salma Hayek Shares Romantic Tribute for Husband’s Birthday

Salma Hayek is celebrating her husband in a heartfelt new tribute.

Fashion mogul François-Henri Pinault turned 61 years old yesterday, May 28, and the House of Gucci actress had nothing but positive things to say in his honor.

"Happy birthday mi amor, you are my sunshine, my warmth, my light, my strength, my joy, my love," she wrote alongside a sweet photo, posted early on her hubby's big day.

In the photo, the couple was dressed to the nines. Pinault looked dashing in a black tux and matching bowtie, while Hayek wore a black glittering belted gown. She was in profile in the photo, leaning up to kiss Pinault's cheek while he held one arm around her waist, smiling at a different camera.

Commenters were surprisingly cruel in response to the romantic note, criticizing the Oscar nominee over their relationship, but a few fans broke through with clapbacks.

"How many awful comments from jealousy [sic] people! You two are beautiful! Hermosa pareja! Besos from Brazil, Salma! 😍❤️🇧🇷," one wrote.

"Happy Birthday to him. Beautiful words that come from the heart of a Mexican. A big hug Salma, my admiration and respect beautiful girl! 😍❤️🌹," another fan wrote in a combination of English and Spanish.

The couple met by chance years ago. "I found a man better than any man I could ever in my life imagine existed. He found me, actually. I wasn’t even looking," the 56-year-old told Latina in 2011. Six years later show told Red Magazine, "Home is where my husband is. He is home."
