  • Salma Hayek just shared a nude maternity photo to Instagram in honor of her daughter Valentina Pinault’s birthday.

  • The actress also shared a throwback photo from when Valentina was just born, calling her daughter her “greatest joy.”

Salma Hayek just honored her daughter, Valentina Paloma Pinault, in the sweetest way. The 54-year-old actress shared a never-before-seen nude maternity photo when she was pregnant with Valentina for her 13th birthday.

In the stunning photo, Hayek is topless and wearing a sheer white skirt. “Tomorrow the tiny baby that formed inside my womb officially becomes a teen. They grow so fast,” she wrote in the caption.

On September 21, Hayek shared another tribute to her daughter on her 13th birthday: a throwback photo holding her newborn. She opened up in the caption about how much Valentina means to her.

“Valentina, I never wished for someone to exist as much as I wished for you to come into my life,” she wrote. “Thank you for showing up thirteen years ago on a day like today, ‘Peace Day,’ to illuminate our lives. You are my greatest teacher, my greatest joy, and my greatest hope. I loved you before you were born and I’ll love you forever. Happy birthday, my shining star. 💫✨🌟.”

Hayek gave birth to Valentina in 2001 after announcing her engagement to French businessman Francois Henri Pinault. She was 41 at the time and developed gestational diabetes. Hayek told Red magazine she wanted to have more kids, but she was not able to.

“I always wanted to have a lot of children, and I was not able to. My body, as a miracle, had one. The huge blessing I’ve had is that my husband has three other children. So I have four. And they are all so different,” she said of her step-children.

To Hayek, motherhood is everything. “People always say about having a child, ‘You’ve never loved anyone so much. It’s like nothing you’ve ever felt. You’ll love her so much, you won’t be able to sleep,’” she told Parents. “My reaction was analytical; I was like, ‘OK, yes, I understand that.’ But unless you experience it, you cannot understand what they’re talking about. I thought I understood. But I didn’t. It’s a kind of love that’s just unique to this experience!”
