Salma Hayek’s Leather Midi Skirt Proved Just How Easy It Is To Go From Desk to Dinner

Do you know what we love more than anything? A celebrity whose wardrobe is versatile and practical enough for everyday life (though, we'll always admire Rihanna's divisive shoe choice or Dua Lipa's ambitious 7-inch platform heels). Salma Hayek's latest ensemble just proved that you can be both fabulous and functional all while taking a look from day to night in an instant.
On Tuesday, the actress attended Gucci's Cosmos exhibition Vernissage event in London donning the ultimate wardrobe staple that can go from desk to dinner in a matter of minutes. For the event, she modeled a high-waisted, patent leather midiskirt that featured a subtle front slit. She layered a crisp white tank top under a baby blue cropped leather jacket to match her pointed-toe slingback heels and a Gucci diamond-encrusted handbag. A silver necklace and black-frame eyeglasses rounded out her reimagined workwear look.

Beauty-wise, her dark brunette hair was worn down in long, corkscrew curls, and her glam included a glowing complexion with rosy cheeks and subtle pink lips.

Last week, the mother-daughter duo attended the after-party for the premiere of David Beckham’s Netflix documentary Beckham in coordinating purple ‘fits. Salma reached for a dark purple silk dress by Victoria Beckham and paired it with sky-high black platform Amina Muaddi sandals and a massive vintage black YSL clutch. As for her mini-me, Valentina followed suit in a velvet minidress in a similar purple hue layered under a black tailored blazer. Sheer black tights, black towering platforms, and a coordinating velvet clutch finished off her evening look.
