Salma Hayek Goes Makeup-Free for Spa Day Pics With Penélope Cruz

Salma Hayek and Penélope Cruz, two Hollywood beauties and movie stars, have been friends for decades, and they decided to get ready for the Met Gala together–well, one of them did.

In new photos shared by Hayek on her Instagram, the Magic Mike's Last Dance star went through a full spa treatment ahead of the May 1 event while Cruz kept her company.

She joked in the caption, "Morning of the #MetGala: Some work hard, and go through many steps to get red carpet ready... some people just wake up gorgeous 💁‍♀️."

In the first photo, the two women, who have been friends since the early 2000s, cuddled up and posed together, showing off their strong friendship.

The other snaps show Hayek getting a massage and face mask with Cruz hanging out next to her, along with an image of the two lying together on a couch.

Model Lily Aldridge, who also attended the Met Gala on Monday, commented, "Beauties 🥰💃🏽🤗."

Professional makeup artist Liz Castellanos also replied, "Vision board goals! Two of my all time faves! ❤️❤️."

Many were fans of the two actresses and their friendship, with one person writing, "#Friendshipgoals & #sistersgoals ❤️ Two beautiful woman inside and out, ofc!"

Hayek and Cruz have been friends ever since Cruz came to the U.S. in the early '00s to make a movie, and Hayek picked her up from the airport. She insisted that Cruz wasn't staying in a hotel, as Cruz told Ellen DeGeneres during a past visit to her show.

The two became fast friends soon after starring together in the 2006 film Bandidas. Since then, they've remained very close.

On May 1, the two both attended the Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, with Cruz as co-chair for this year's big event.
