Salma Hayek Enjoys a Colorful Meal During Visit to Spain

Salma Hayek is celebrating Spanish food and culture during a visit to the European country.
The Mexican-American actress shared a photo of herself on Instagram enjoying a traditional Spanish dish, paella—which often contains rice, saffron, chicken, seafood, veggies, and more—while hanging out near the ocean in a trendy shirt and sunglasses. She smiled at the camera as she lifted a forkful of the appetizing dish toward her mouth.
She captioned it,"Que Viva España," or "Long Live Spain," adding the hashtags "#sanjuan #paella #vivaespaña." Based on the first hashtag, it's possible that Hayek was visiting Spain to celebrate the San Juan Festival, also known as the Bonfires of San Juan, or Hogueras de San Juan in Spanish.
San Juan Festival takes place around June 24, with celebrations occurring in the days before. Bonfires are usually lit on June 23 on beaches around the country, with the festival signifying the start of summer.
One fan wrote in the comments, "Paella is one of my favourite things to cook ❤️🔥," while another said, "I hope you know it very well, you deserve it, and as always near the sea, lucky! ❤️," translated from Spanish.
