Salehe Bembury Teases Debut Crocs Juniper Sneaker

Salehe Bembury continues to make waves with his longtime partner Crocs. The designer just gave his Instagram followers another look at his debut sneaker with the Colorado-based shoe brand.

Dubbed the Juniper, the sneaker has yet to be given an official release date but is expected to drop by summer. The innovative Membury shoe marks Crocs’ first foray into the sneaker market. While Bembury has previously teased the unique sneaker before, this is the most detailed look yet.

The ventilated sneaker crafted from leather and mesh is quite the departure from the Classic Clog consumers are used to when it comes to Crocs. Coming in a peach, gray and lime green colorway, the unreleased Juniper is complete with a similar fingerprint outsole to Bembury’s ultra-popular Crocs Pollex Clog.

This comes just months after Bembury and Crocs took home the Collection of the Year award for the Pollex Clog at the 2023 FN Achievement Awards. The wildly successful first Pollex Clog was released in December 2021 and last April, Crocs confirmed it had extended its collaborative partnership with Bembury for another two years.

Bembury — who has worked for footwear industry giants like Yeezy, Greats, New Balance and Cole Haan— was also named FN’s Designer of the Year in 2020.

In other sneaker news, Salehe Bembury’s New Balance 1906R “Heat Be Hot” collection dropped last week exclusively through Bembury’s Be a Spunge website.
