Your Sagittarius Monthly Horoscope for July

From Cosmopolitan

You’re always down for an adventure, Sagittarius. No, seriously. There’s nothing you love more hopping on a cheap flight to some arbitrary destination and getting into all kinds of trouble. But, now that the entire world (literally) is thwarting a deadly virus, your explorations have become increasingly local. But that doesn’t mean they haven’t been action packed.

As if a brief description of 2020 didn’t already sound like an action/science fiction film, the final eclipse on the Cancer-Capricorn axis occurs—you guessed it—on the holiday known as “Independence Day.” At 12:44PM EST on July 5, a powerful lunar eclipse occurs as the Sun and Moon face off in the cosmos. During this lunation, the Moon will project the shadow of the Earth, disgusting itself in an eerie, red hue. And just as we’ll be seeing the Moon in a completely different light, you’re beginning to realize just how radically your perspective has changed since this eclipse series began two years ago. Just like the Moon, you’re reflecting a very different reality. Honor your evolution, Sagittarius. Now, you finally understand that worldliness cannot be quantified by stamps in a passport.

Since mid-June, Mercury Retrograde has been making everything very…annoying. Against the backdrop of a very intense moment in history, Mercury’s infamous reversal has not been doing us any favors. Thankfully, Mercury returns to normal on July 12, which will make day-to-day realities a bit more manageable. While Mercury doesn’t have enough power to influence large-scale transformation, it definitely will help make sure your messages get delivered to the right people (in other words, no more accidental “reply all” or talking shit about your colleague while you’re unmuted on Zoom).

On July 20, a New Moon in Cancer blankets the sky in warm, summer darkness. Unlike the last three lunations, this New Moon is not an eclipse. There will be a lot less external drama, but on an emotional level, you’ll still feel the impact of this powerful lunar motion. Don’t be surprised if, under this sky, you recall lots of past memories. Of course, not every nostalgic memory will be sweet—some may, in fact, be quite painful. Let these move through you, Sagittarius darling. And don’t forget: You can think about your ex without texting them. Just sayin’.

I know, I know. July sounds intense. But I promise there’s plenty of room for play. On July 22, the bright Sun cruises into Leo, a like-minded fire sign that definitely knows how to have fun. And it’s about f*cking time! You’ve been craving some merriment! Over the next few weeks, Leo energy will fuel your own fire. Consider ways you can indulge your most authentic self and your deepest, truest desires. Simply put, Leo Season is all about connecting with passion. Go ahead, Sagittarius, live a little!
