Sage Simple Syrup Recipe
Yields: Makes about 1 cup
Active time: 5 minutes
Total time: 35 minutes
Ingredients
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup water
1/2 cup firmly packed fresh sage leaves
Directions
Combine sugar, water, and sage leaves in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, and cool to room temperature, about 30 minutes. Pour through a fine wire-mesh strainer into an airtight container, pressing solids to remove as much liquid as possible. Discard solids. Store in refrigerator up to 2 weeks.
