SAFY seeks donations for National Foster Care Month

May 14—LIMA — For National Foster Care Month, Specialized Alternatives for Families and Youth (SAFY) is accepting donations at area locations until May 31.

Items donated will be used to pack duffle bags. When a new child comes to SAFY, they will receive a duffle bag.

Five locations in the area have boxes where items can be dropped off, including:

—SAFY, America Office — 10100 Elida Road, Delphos

—Family Promise — 604 Gloria Ave., Suite B, Lima

—LOX Salon — 3037 Elida Road, Lima

—YMCA — 300 E. Lincoln St., Findlay

—SAFY, Findlay Division — 1624 Tiffin Ave., Findlay

The following donations will be accepted in new, unopened packages: Backpacks; pull-ups; socks/underwear (size 4-9); blankets; fidgets; journals/pens/pencil; deodorant; toothpaste/toothbrushes; shampoo/conditioner; body soap/baby soap; small puzzles/cards; brushes/combs; baby wipes; water bottles; feminine hygiene products; headphones; and wash cloths.
