Sadie Robertson is ‘exhausted’ after fighting a tough health battle.

The Duck Dynasty star took to Instagram on Jan. 7 to update fans on how her new year is going — and, unfortunately, it hasn’t been the easiest time.

Sharing a video of her husband Christian Huff holding their daughter Honey, the Dancing With the Stars alum wrote that she would be missing Passion, a Christian conference where she and her husband were planning to speak, due to a combination of COVID-19 and the flu.

“Tbh the start to this year has been quite interesting,” she began. “We will share more about it in our vlog soon. tarted off by me getting FLURONA (flu + covid) (yikes) so obviously I was so bummed to miss Passion but I was so thankful that God gave me the strength to still preach my message to an empty room despite being so sick. My faith from that experience grew so much His spirit is truly living within us! also, thankful the conference is online!”

“Flurona,” while not a separate illness, is the colloquial term for having COVID-19 and the flu at the same time. Robertson isn’t the only star to deal with two viruses at once: Just this week, Dwyane Wade reveal on Twitter that he was cancelling his 40th birthday party as “flurona had other plans.”

Unfortunately for Robertson, it wasn’t just COVID-19 and the flu throwing a wrench in her 2022. She also shared that she had to be out of her house as “a couple of rats” had invaded their home, and “those little guys are doing some work.”

“It’s disgusting,” she added, alongside an upside down smiley face. “We are exhausted from getting over sickness and being out of our home. So here we are floating around trying to make the most of it. Thankful to be healthy now. Lord, help us to consider it joy!”

Robertson previously battled COVID while pregnant with Honey, telling Yahoo in December 2020 that the illness was “really, really bad.” She was admitted to the hospital due to complications from COVID and being unable to hold onto fluids due to intense morning sickness.

“I actually was the last one to get [COVID] in the family,” she told Yahoo. “My sister got it, then my parents, then Christian and I both got it. But then it ended with us. We did not spread it, thankfully. It definitely caught like wildfire for a minute there but we stopped it.”

She also used her experience to encourage others to stay as safe as possible during the pandemic.

“We gotta protect those older than us — and even ourselves because it’s not healthy for anyone to get it,” she said at the time. “Everyone is struggling with COVID, especially those who have lost people from COVID. It is no joke... It definitely taught me a lot going through it. Though we’re stronger for it.”
