Sad Video of Dog Rescued From Puppy Mill Shows the Grim Reality of Unethical Breeding
This poor mama dog was kept in a cage 24 hours a day.
Buying a puppy from a breeder might seem like a surefire way to get the dog of your dreams, but there are so many tragic consequences of irresponsible dog breeding. From poor living conditions to severe health issues, innocent dogs are suffering in all kinds of ways.
As difficult as it may be to think about, rescue heroes like @adoptingdogs have to deal with these realities every day. This French Bulldog, for example, was so petrified after spending life in a cage that all she could do was shake.

Poor girl! We wish we could hop into the screen and comfort her, but it reassured us to know that this was old footage of a dog who found a loving home.
"Do you have an update on how she is in. her new home?" asked @deanna0404. That's what we were wondering too! Unfortunately, the news was more bittersweet than we were expecting.
@Adoptingdogs replied, "she was given a great home and was extremely loved. Unfortunately due to her grade 5 heart murmur, she did pass away." We are heartbroken to hear that! It's so comforting to know that this mama dog got to experience luxury and love while she was still alive, though.
"I adopted a puppy mill pug when she was 7, just had her last litter," said @majic.majka. "She was an amazing girl. I miss her so much." We're so happy she found you! Rescue dogs are so special, and they deserve every moment of love and joy they can get.
