(FOX40.COM) — Low-income and unhoused Sacramento County residents with pet dogs can take them to a free wellness clinic in Rio Linda in mid-May.

The Bradshaw Animal Shelter is hosting a vaccine and microchipping clinic on Sunday, May 19, at the Rio Linda Depot Building from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The address of the building is 6730 Front St., across from True Value Hardware.

The clinic will be providing free vaccinations, microchips, ID tags and collars, as well as providing health services for deworming, flea prevention and treatment of small medical issues.

The shelter said that the clinic will not require pre-registration and will be available for dogs only.

Pet dogs that attend the clinic must be on a leash, and puppies must be in carriers or open boxes to prevent the possible spread of parvo.
