Sabrina Looks Ready to Burn It All Down in Her Next Chilling Adventures

Netflix dropped a release date and a new teaser.

When it comes to their original content, Netflix has shown a surprisingly strong knack for horror. One of the company's latest successes in the genre was their dark, very-heavy-on-the-Satanism update of the sitcom Sabrina the Teenage Witch. And despite a lawsuit filed by the Satanic Temple over copyright infringement (the awesome Bahomet statue in Sabrina's evil Hogwarts is the Temple's intellectual property), the show's gotten high praise.

There's still a reported one-off Christmas special in the works, but fans aren't going to have to wait long to see the second installment: This weekend, Netflix dropped both a release date of April 5 and a teaser trailer that certainly doesn't promise less sex and violence and Devil worship. It kicks with a nod to the opening credits of the original show, but the new platinum blonde Kiernan Shipka is much more bloodthirsty and willing to start fires than Melissa Joan Hart ever was.
