Sabrina Carpenter Just Opened Up About Her Upcoming Collab with Joshua Bassett

We've already gotten three great songs out of the Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, and Joshua Bassett love triangle, but now we are about to get a fourth. Sabrina and Joshua are releasing a collab together, and Sabrina just dropped some more deets about the song.
Last month, Joshua announced that his first, self-titled EP is coming out in March. With the announcement, we also got to see the track list, which features a song called, "We Both Know," featuring who else, but Sabrina.
Of course, this got fans talking. Could the song be yet another response to Olivia's hit, "Drivers License." Unfortunately, it's unclear, but Sabrina did just spill some more deets about the collab.
"I cant say too much and it's on his project so I'm like, I don't want to say too much that I can't say, but it's a collaboration very dear to my heart that I'm very excited about," she said to Radio.com.
Sabrina also revealed that they recorded the song "a while ago," which would mean it's probably not about Olivia, since that drama is still pretty recent. In fact, it seems like working on the song together is actually how Sabrina and Joshua met. In an interview with Febre Teen, Joshua explained how the song came to be. After writing "We Both Know," he thought Sabrina would sound really good on it. At the time, the pair followed each other on Instagram, so Joshua decided to reach out.
"I sent her a quick message and was like, 'Hey I think you're really awesome and I have this song I think you would sound great on, let me know what you think,'" he said. "And she responded like ten minutes later, gave me her number, and I sent her the song. Fortunately, she liked it so we got together in the studio and it was just a blast to make."
So, most likely the song won't address any of the ongoing drama, but hey, it will definitely add more content to this never-ending story, and if I know anything about Sabrina and Joshua, "We Both Know" is going to be a banger.
