Sabrina Carpenter Brought the Drip in a Glitzy Crystal Two-Piece Set for the AMAs

Sabrina Carpenter might've sung "one year, ten thousand bad moments" in her newest album emails i can't send, but her American Music Awards 2022 outfit was certainly not one of those bad moments. In fact, the singer hit the AMAs red carpet in one of our absolute favorite looks of the entire night.

Sab loooooves a sparkle. Look no further than the sheer, bedazzled dress she wore on stage, the sequin cutout gown she wore to the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, and her iridescent MTV afterparty mini for proof. The singer even wore a fully bedazzled bodysuit (we're talking head to toe) in her "because i liked a boy" music video, along with four other incredible ensembles, so unsurprisingly, she showed up to the AMAs in another lewk that perfectly fits her current sparkly era.

Sabrina stole the show in an Oscar de la Renta set styled by Jason Bolden. Her crop top featured a square neckline, thin straps, and a sheer, lattice patterned sparkle fabric with long strands of silver fringe dangling off of the hem. Her matching mini skirt, in the same glitzy material, boasted similar fringe that swept all the way down to her silver platform stilettos.

The singer joked that her cat had expensive taste after revealing that he tried to munch on one of the tassels, explaining on the KABC On the Red Carpet pre-show, "My cat — you know they love tassels. I was leaving my house and my cat ate one of these. But he's good. He's actually got an expensive taste!"

Sabrina rocked her signature dark brows against her honey blond locks and curtain bangs styled in loose waves, opting to carry the same brown color scheme into her neutral eyeshadow look. The singer wore a '90s-style dark brown lipstick on the outline of her pucker and a peachy nude in the center of her lips, similar to Hailey Bieber's brownie-glazed lip look that she debuted a few months ago. Both shades are from Armani Beauty's range of Lip Power Long-Lasting Satin Lipsticks, which you can purchase at Sephora for $39 each.

Sabrina, who recently wrapped her emails i can't send USA tour, presented the Favourite Music Video award to Taylor Swift for "All Too Well." The two artists have a massive height difference — Taylor is reportedly 5'10" while Sabrina is about 5'0", making them almost a foot apart in height — and they had a hilarious moment on stage after Taylor accepted the award and jokingly patted Sabrina on the head after they hugged.
