CHEBOYGAN — Most people want to keep bugs out of their homes, but naturalist Eowyn Bates hopes to provide another perspective during a Straits Area Audubon Society program on Wednesday, May 8.

The program, called “Bugs Behind Glass,” will feature small glass aquariums filled with interesting bugs for attendees to examine and learn about.

Bates will talk about keeping bugs as pets, ranging from snails and slugs, worms, arachnids, insects, crustaceans and more. Bates will explain how the bugs interact with each other, how to keep a healthy and happy environment for them and more during the presentation.

The program will take place at 6 pm. at the Cheboygan Area Public Library. Guests may also watch on Zoom.
