ABC has confirmed a lot about season 3 of American Idol, but one detail remains: Is Ryan Seacrest leaving the show? And is he leaving Live with Kelly and Ryan too? We’re waiting on confirmation, but it appears that he’ll still be on two of our favorite shows.

Everything’s been hush-hush because he’s apparently working on a new deal with Disney, according to TMZ.

“Ryan will likely return as host for a third season of AI on ABC, as its longtime host,” the site shared in a news story. “The reason the deal hasn’t been signed … he’s currently in talks with Disney honchos for a huge contract that goes way beyond A.I. and Live with Kelly and Ryan.”

Ryan hasn’t directly addressed the news, but his most recent post shows him loving life on the set of Live with Kelly and Ryan. While Kelly was out, his interim co-host was actress Vanessa Hudgens.

Though we haven’t heard about Ryan, ABC did make it clear that judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie would all be back for Idol’s season 3. To clarify, it’s the third season on ABC, but it’s technically the 18th season (it previously aired on Fox). Not only that, but Bobby Bones will return as the in-house mentor to the contestants.

Because the renewal was just announced, we’re still waiting for the official return date of the singing competition show. Until then, we’re refreshing Ryan’s Instagram until we know the same cast will appear on our screens next season.
