Ryan Reynolds Wishes Zayn Malik a Happy Birthday as Deadpool

Ryan Reynolds is at it again — this time, with a hilarious birthday message for Zayn Malik.

The singer-songwriter took to Instagram yesterday, January 12, to share a video he received from Ryan, dressed as Deadpool. In the video, Ryan (whose voice was slightly muffled behind the iconic mask), began by saying: "Zayn, it's Wade. Don't hang up." (Of course, as fans know, Wade is Deadpool's "regular" name.)

"I just wanted to wish you a very happy birthday, again," Ryan/Deadpool/Wade went on to say. "I also wanted to apologize for jumping out of the cake like that, I didn’t realize it was the middle of the night — I had no idea it was in the middle of your bedroom." The joke didn't stop there, as the actor added: "I want to thank your security who were very, very gentle and creative with the taser."

Ryan finished up his message by also noting that January 12 is the birthday of Tim Horton, the late hockey player and co-founder of the popular restaurant chain named after him. "You share your birthday with a very special Canadian, who is very dear to my heart," he said.

It's clear that Zayn appreciated the message, but he wasn't the only one. Gigi Hadid — who also had a special Instagram shoutout for Zayn's big day — posted a comment underneath the video, writing: "Best f!#%n birthday surprise ever!!!" She added a shoutout to both Ryan and Blake Lively as well. Of course, this isn't the first time those two have participated in some Instagram fun — who could forget the way Blake wished Ryan a happy birthday...or how he got revenge.

Nevertheless, it definitely seems like Zayn had a day to remember...and Ryan and Blake keep setting the bar even higher for hilarious birthday wishes. Only time will tell where they go from here — and we'll be waiting for it.
