Ryan Reynolds wished Zayn Malik happy birthday with the creepiest “Deadpool” message ever
In his classic uncomfortably awkward fashion, Deadpool (AKA Ryan Reynolds) delivered singer Zayn Malik a birthday message for the ages. Zayn shared the video message from the spandex-clad superhero on his Instagram and our skin is pretty much crawling at this point — but in a good way, we promise!
“Zayn, it’s Wade. Don’t hang up,” Deadpool, whose real name is Wade in the Marvel universe, opened. “I just want to wish you a very happy birthday — again. I also want to apologize for jumping out of the cake like that. I didn’t realize it was the middle of the night and I had no idea I was in the middle of your bedroom. I want to thank your security who were very, very gentle and creative with the taser.”
Deadpool surely only had the best intentions. And we have to hand it to Reynolds — he walks the sweet-yet-creepy line like a pro.

The “Dusk Till Dawn” singer turned 25 on January 12th, and Deadpool wasn’t the only one to send Zayn a celebratory message. The singer’s girlfriend, Gigi Hadid (who happens to be gal pals with Reynolds’ wife, Blake Lively), also dedicated an Instagram post to Zayn’s 25 years.
Thankfully, Hadid’s wasn’t nearly as awkward as Deadpool’s.
Hadid posted a series of photos with the caption, “love this man more than I could ever put into words, & am inspired by his drive to be and do better everyday
