Ryan Reynolds Just Trolled Blake Lively With Unflattering Photos for Her Birthday

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are known for their delightful mutual trolling on social media, with nary a birthday or anniversary between them going unnoticed without a little good-natured fun flung one direction or the other. It's been a while, however, since we had a good birthday trolling: On Reynolds' big day last year, Lively used the occasion to encourage followers to go vote in the midterm elections instead. So suffice it to say we were pretty excited when we realized that today, Sunday, August 24, was Lively's 32nd birthday. And yes, Reynolds had delivered.

The Deadpool star commemorated his wife's birthday by posting a series of unflattering photos to her on his 'gram. We're talking half-closed eyes, motion blurs, unfocused pics, and half-out-of-frame shots. (The kind of photos everyone takes!) The pictures are, apparently, worth 10,000 words, because Reynolds only used three in his caption: "Happy Birthday, @blakelively."

Deadpool's creator, Rob Liefeld, said what we were all thinking: "There are no bad pictures of @blakelively and happy 🎂🎂🎂," he commented. Gigi Hadid also offered her birthday greetings with a "‼️❤️‼️"

Reynolds also shared recently what the greatest present Lively had ever given him was: an Easter egg-packed, semi-biographical painting of a young boy delivering newspapers (Reynolds' own first job).

We're sure Reynolds has something equally as special in store for Lively's birthday—but it seems like other celebrities are getting in on this unflattering-pic trolling game too. Karl Cook, husband of Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco, posted a pic of Cuoco to mark their anniversary on Saturday.

"In my just over year of marriage I have many times found myself gazing over at my wife in awe of her beauty and grace. This is not one of those times, this time makes me wonder, ‘@kaleycuoco where’s your neck?’ Omg I love you so much honey!!!," he captioned it.

She seemed to take it all in fun, and they're definitely not getting divorced. "I read somewhere that we are divorcing and living separate lives. It’s worth mentioning," she commented.

So, uh, hopefully there won't be a third instance that makes this a trend? Unless, of course, it's when Lively gets her revenge come October 23, Reynolds' 43rd birthday—we'll definitely be keeping our eyes out.
