Ryan Reynolds: Good Guy Hotness

Happy Birthday 38th birthday to you Mr. Reynolds. 6”2, always in shape, and screaming hot. Just perfect. Even though it’s his last birthday child-free, he seems like the kind of guy who’d spend his birthday putting a crib together. He’s proven to be a manly sort of actor in films like “The Green Lantern” and “Safe House,” but I absolutely loved him in “The In-Laws,” where he plays the nice son of a CIA operative Michael Douglass getting married to the daughter of Albert Brooks, who plays a good guy doctor. (Full disclosure: I’m a huge fan of Albert Brooks. But that’s a whole other story)
In real life Reynolds is married to the gorgeous and very pregnant Blake Lively and they live in bucolic Bedford New York, close to her mentor Martha Stewart. They look so completely in love when they are photographed together that it’s kind of turning the internet into a lovingly jealous rage. What I like about Reynolds now is that he has taken on the identity of expecting a child just as much as Blake has. I think of them as a couple having a baby, not just the wife. The couple seem like total suburbanites that just want to stay at home and bake cookies. Just a normal movie star husband and wife—ones that don’t act like they have a chip on their shoulder, and look genuinely happy to be where they’re at in life.
I’m sure they will be great parents, but I just can’t imagine good looking famous people changing diapers and dealing with throw up. Who I am kidding? They would look attractive doing basically anything.
