Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively announced Monday night that in light of the coronavirus outbreak, they are donating $1 million to non-profits dedicated to feeding people who need it.

Both Blake and Ryan shared messages to their Instagrams saying they would be giving $1 million to be split between Feeding America and Food Banks Canada.

But of course, because it's Ryan, his message made us laugh too. “Take care of your bodies and hearts. Leave room for joy. Call someone who’s isolated and might need connection. “(Hugh Jackman‘s # is 1-555-😢-HUGH).”

He also captioned the photo "I think we can all agree, Covid-19 is an asshole. If you’re able to help, visit, @feedingamerica and @foodbankscanada."

Blake shared a similar message, also sharing the importance of practicing social distancing.

"Though we must be distancing ourselves to protect those who don't have the opportunity to self quarantine, we can stay connected," she wrote: "Remember the lonely an isolated. FaceTime, Skype, make a video. Remember that love can travel through all of this."

Her post also ended in a light-hearted way.

“Now can someone please tell Ryan that ‘emotional distancing’ from his mother in law is not a thing. Nothing can save him,” she wrote.

Vice president of Major Gifts at Feeding America Dan Nisbet issued a statement to Variety, sharing how Blake and Ryan's donation will help.

“We are so grateful for Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s extremely generous donation, and for all of the donations we’ve been receiving,” the statement read:

The Feeding America network of 200 food banks is working tirelessly to aid and provide meal assistance to our most vulnerable neighbors — children, the elderly, families struggling with food insecurity and individuals facing job disruptions — throughout our nation during this unprecedented time. Generosity like theirs will make all the difference.
