Deacon Phillippe, the 18-year-old son of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe, appears to be following in his parents' footsteps and making his way into the acting industry.

Deacon will reportedly appear in Season 3 of Netflix's Never Have I Ever, the streaming service revealed on Wednesday, July 27. He will guest star alongside the cast's regulars, including Darren Barnet and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, who plays the lead role of high schooler Devi Vishwakumar.

In the series' upcoming season—which hits Netflix on August 12—Deacon will tap into the role of Parker, a teen from a prestigious private school who crosses paths with Devi on her tumultuous journey through high school. He does not appear in the new trailer teasing the new season.

The hit Netflix series—which first dropped in 2020—was created by Mindy Kaling, who happens to be good pals with Deacon's mom and is even writing the script for Witherspoon's upcoming film, Legally Blonde 3.

After getting Never Have I Ever approved for a fourth season, Kaling, later revealed that Season 4, which is expected in 2023, would be the show's last hoorah.

"Four seasons for a high school show felt like it made sense," The Office alum told Entertainment Tonight back in April. "They can't be in high school forever. We've seen those shows. Like you've been in high school for 12 years. What is going on here?"

"Also, the actors get older and it starts looking insane that a 34-year-old is playing a 15-year-old," she added at the time.
