After speculations a year ago that Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie would work together for a new Ocean's Eleven prequel, producer Josey McNamara has confirmed the reunion.

This would mark the first post-Barbie for the duo. Robbie was initially tied to the project already when it was reported that she would star and produce the new prequel film helmed by Jay Roach and Warner Bros. In a recent interview with Games Radar, McNamara said, "I can't really say much. But I think we're just trying to do right by the franchise. I'm excited for people to experience it when it's ready." When he was asked about Robbie and Goslings on-screen chemistry, he even shared that he hoped that it Barbie would only be just the first of many future Gosling-Robbie collaborations, "They're wonderful together. They more projects even outside of that we can have them do would be amazing."

McNamara is Robbie's co-founding partner of their production studio LuckyChap. They founded the company alongside Tom Ackerley and Sophia Kerr. Under the company and after Barbie, Saltburn starring Jacob Elordi is also backed by LuckyChap, as is the Ocean's Eleven prequel. While the official plot details for the prequel has not yet been revealed, what fans do know is that the story is slated to take place in 1960s Europe, away from Sin City. Las Vegas was the playing ground that started the Rat Pack's stories in the original 1960 film and later the George Clooney and Brad Pitt-led trilogy in the early 2000s. Ocean's Eight was set in New York City.
