Russell Westbrook and Tinie Tempah Go Big Pink

It's still cold, but spring approaches. The answer? A bubblegum-pink fuzzy jacket.

When fashion people talk about "wardrobe transition" it usually involves cleaning out your closet in a very methodical, time-consuming way and going back to basics with your style before digging into the season's weirder clothes. Early spring is a time for gray sweaters, navy pants, and tan trench coats. Unless, of course, you are Russell Westbrook or rapper Tinie Tempah. For these guys—style rebels from two different but equally peacocky worlds—wardrobe transition is about remixing the loudest icons of winter and spring to come up with a mind-bending flex. In this case, fuzzy winter coats done in Easter Bunny pink.

Westbrook wore his Urban Outfitters trucker jacket ahead of Saturday's Oklahoma City Thunder -Golden State Warriors game in true maximalist fashion: with floral pants by Gucci, neon orange sneakers, and a bright red Tumi x Russell Westbrook bag. Meanwhile, Tinie Tempah played things ever-so-slightly more low-key at London Fashion week earlier this month, wearing his pink shearling Burberry coat with a tan sweater and dark sweats from the luxury brand. (A pair of neon-green sneakers, however, showed the street-style photographers who was boss.) While the looks had their own personality (and the coats retail for vastly different prices) the idea behind both is more or less the same: February fashion does not have to look so darn boring. For our part, we're on board. (Especially if it means we don't have to set aside an entire weekend to clean out our closets this year.)
