The 2024 presidential race could very well be a rematch of the 2020 campaign, as both President Joe Biden and former president Donald Trump have announced their candidacies.
Below, here's who is running for president. We'll update this list as more candidates enter the race.
Democrats
Joe Biden, current president
Most incumbent presidents run for a second term, and Biden is no different. "When I ran for president four years ago, I said we are in a battle for the soul of America. Marianne Williamson
The self-help author and 2020 candidate announced she'd be running again. "It is our job to create a vision of justice and love that is so powerful that it will override the forces of hatred and injustice and fear," she said. More at Marianne2024.com
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
The scion of the famous Kennedy dynasty has been known for his anti-vaccine activism in recent years. Many of his family members do not support him. More at Kennedy24.com
Republicans
Donald Trump
Trump, the only president to be impeached twice, is running again, to, as he says, "make America great and glorious again." More at DonaldJTrump.com
Nikki Haley
The former governor of South Carolina previously said she would not run if Trump decided to enter the race, but changed her mind and entered the race. More at NikkiHaley.com
Vivek Ramaswamy
The entrepreneur, who describes himself as "anti-woke," has never held elected office. More at Vivek2024.com
Asa Hutchinson
The former governor of Arkansas is a critic of Trump, and is one of few Republicans to comment on Trump's indictment. More at Asa2024.com
Larry Elder
The conservative talk radio host unsuccessfully mounted a campaign against California governor Gavin Newsom in a recall election. More at LarryElder.com
Tim Scott
Scott, a senator from South Carolina and the only Black Republican in the Senate, announced his campaign this week. More at VoteTimeScott.com
